Minneapolis & Saint Paul Wildlife Control

We Provide a Full Range of Minnesota Wildlife Removal Services

What problems do wildlife cause?

Most of the calls we get are because homeowners hear animals scurrying around inside the attic or walls. Most of the damage inside a houes or attic is unseen. Rodents like squirrels, mice, and rats often chew on electrical wires. Wildlife such as raccoons, bats, birds, opossums, and rats spread several diseases that humans can and do catch, such as Histoplasmosis, Salmonella, Leptospirosis and more. Many critters leave droppings and urine in an attic or cause mold or odor problems. We also handle animals outside the house. It could be a critter that has dug a large hole next to your house, or a raccoon in your garbage cans, an opossum that is stealing pet food, or a skunk living under your deck, causing an odor problem. Some animals destroy your garden or landscaping. Or perhaps you are simply scared of snakes. Whatever the problem is, our wildlife experts can remove the source of the problem, and prevent it from happening again. We are not a Minneapolis extermination company, nor pest control. We are dedicated Minneapolis wildlife control experts. We also provide Saint Paul wildlife removal services.

Minneapolis wildlife removal - article of the month

How To Get Squirrels Out Of Your Garden Or Flower Beds
There is nothing worse for a gardener than to come out into the garden one morning to find that a freshly laid row of bulbs has been dug up, or that the seedlings placed in the ground have been eaten by squirrels. For those people who are looking to prepare a manicured and attractive garden, squirrels can be a massive problem, and there are all kinds of home remedies and commercial products designed to help with this. Squirrels are also likely to cause problems by leaving small stores of food buried in the ground all around the garden, and for some people getting rid of them may be the only option. Squirrels are more common for us than Minneapolis snake removal services, of course.

Protecting Your Garden
One of the best ways to solve the problem is to actually make your garden less attractive to squirrels, but many of these steps will also lead to a less attractive garden in the eyes of many. This is why the first option will be to protect the garden and the plants within. For this purpose a fine wire mesh can be very useful, although it will need to be cut into many different shapes and sizes depending on the plants that it is protecting. It can be time consuming, particularly when it comes to putting mesh around bulbs to be planted, but it will keep the squirrel from eating them. This mesh can also be wrapped around the trunk of a tree where the squirrel has been gnawing at the bark. This is just one of our Minneapolis rodent control methods. We don't do rodent extermination or kill mice, but we do preventative measures. The same goes for our Minneapolis bat removal methods. We find the source of the problem - the holes in your house, and seal those shut in addition to removing the animals.

Repelling The Squirrels From Your Flower Beds
For those who don’t want to go down the route of wrapping each bulb individually, there are a range of products which can be used and spread around the borders of flower beds to repel the squirrels. There are also a range of suggestions online for people who want to make their own repellents at home, and items such as mothballs and hot pepper solutions are also quite popular. Some of these can be more effective than others, so you may need to try a few different products before the results can really be experienced. Protecting a flower bed with a repellent can often be more effective than trying to use repellent to get the squirrel out of the garden entirely. This is because once squirrels have nested in an area then they are not likely to want to move unless they really cannot stand to stay there, while leaving one flower bed alone because of repellent is not such a problem for them. If there are ample food sources elsewhere, both in the garden and in the surrounding area, then they will often be happy to leave the flower beds alone once they have been protected with a repellent. We do use repellents for Minneapolis bird control, in which we install spikes and netting to keep the birds off of your building. The same tactics don't work as well for the Eastern Gray squirrel.

Catching Squirrels And Removing Them From Your Garden
There are some situations in which the damage to the garden will be too frequent or too significant to ignore, and for some squirrels they will have learned how to get past the other measures used. In this instance gardeners will have to choose whether or not they can tolerate this damage or whether they will have to trap and remove the squirrels. Most people will find that a cage trap baited with nuts, oatmeal or peanut butter placed at the bottom of the tree where they are nesting will be enough to catch the squirrels. This is similar to our approach for Minneapolis raccoon removal. It is worth noting that in some states they do have regulations about the capture and release of wild animals, particularly those that have been known to carry diseases and parasites. In these cases the state authorities will often issue guidance about what should be done with any squirrels that are caught.

Tip of the week: Deer Repellents: There are lots of deer repellents in the market, and people often wonder which to buy and which is the most effective. All labels of these repellent program claim that they are effective but usual that’s not the case as most of the products are not effective as advertised.

Scare deer with predator urine: Deer just like every other wild animal have predators that do not like to associate with. Or that reason, simply by spraying the urine of the predator around your property you will stand chance of keeping Deer out of your property with ease. Getting the predator urine does not form any kind of complexity as you can easily do that through wild animal repellent store near your area.

Make Deer Go Away With Some Garlic and Deodorant Soap: Deer do not like to forage in areas with the smell of garlic and deodorant soap. For that reason, if you want to keep them away, you have to spray your yard with garlic juice or use deodorant soap and spay on the leaves and grasses around your property. Most people have testified keeping Deer away from their property just with the help of Garlic juice. You can squeeze out the juice yourself from the garlic clove or buy one in the grocery store.
